How to Request Deletion of Your Data
You stay in control of the personal data you share with Primo Dish. You can delete your Primo Dish account and the personal data connected to it at any time, using either of the two methods below. You do not have to give a reason, and the request is free of charge.
Option 1 – Delete your account yourself, inside Primo Dish
- Sign in to your account on primodish.com or in the Primo Dish mobile app.
- Open the menu and go to your account settings (Profile / Change password).
- Scroll to the "Delete account" section and press "Delete".
- Confirm by entering your email address when you are asked to. Your account is closed straight away, all of your sign-in sessions and access tokens are revoked, and your profile and content are removed from Primo Dish.
Option 2 – Ask us to delete your data by email
If you cannot sign in – for example because you no longer have access to the email address or to the Facebook, Google, Instagram or Apple account you registered with – write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", and tell us the username or email address of the account you want deleted. We may ask you for information that lets us verify that the account is yours, so that we never delete someone else's data by mistake. We action every verified request and confirm the deletion to you by email within 30 days of receiving it.
If you signed up or logged in with Facebook, Google, Instagram or Apple
Primo Dish offers sign-in with Facebook, Google, Instagram and Apple. Removing Primo Dish from your Facebook account only stops future logins – on its own it does not delete the data that Primo Dish already holds. To have that data deleted, use Option 1 or Option 2 above. To disconnect the app as well, open Facebook and go to "Settings & privacy" → "Settings" → "Apps and Websites", select "Primo Dish" and press "Remove".
What is deleted
Your account is closed as soon as the request is made. Within 30 days at the latest, we then delete or irreversibly anonymise:
- your account and your login credentials, including any Facebook, Google, Instagram or Apple sign-in connection and the profile data we received from it;
- your profile information, such as your name, username, email address, profile photo and location preferences;
- the content connected to your profile, such as your reviews, ratings, dishes, photos, lists, saved searches, friends and followers;
- all active API and mobile app access tokens, so that no device can reach the account any more.
What we may keep, and for how long
We keep a limited amount of information after deletion only where the law requires or allows it – for example donation and transaction records we must retain for tax and accounting purposes, and records we need in order to prevent fraud or abuse or to defend a legal claim. Anything we retain is kept only for as long as that legal purpose lasts and is not used for any other purpose. Copies of deleted data may also remain in our encrypted backups for up to 90 days, until those backups are overwritten in the normal rotation.
